Men's Hoops Drop to Edison

Dayton, OH –  Sinclair Men’s Tartan Pride basketball team opened their home Ohio Community College Athletic Conference season with a match-up from neighboring OCCAC school Edison CC.

The Tartan Pride were down by 9 going into half-time, 39-30. Sinclair shot only 29% from the field in the first half.

In the second half, The Pride mounted a comeback that would leave them down by 2 with two minutes remaining but could never close the gap. Edison would make some key free throws to take the 82-78 win.

Freshmen Darrien Wilkins (Princeton) led all scorers with 25 points.  Mark Allen, Freshmen from Northwest High School, added 17.

The Tartan Pride moves to 14-5 overall and 1-2 in conference play. Sinclair will return to home action on Wednesday, January 26 as they take on Cincinnati State in Sinclair’s Annual White Out Wednesday Game.

Game time is 7:30 PM in Sinclair's Physical Activities Center located in Building 8.
