Sinclair (5-2/0-0) Men’s Basketball lose on the road

Dayton, OH – Sinclair (5-2/0-0) Men’s Basketball lose at Miami University-Middletown 79-72.

Playing its second in a string of four straight road games, the Pride got behind early and had to play catch up the rest of the night

The MUM ThunderHawks took a 43-31 margin into half on the heels of 50% shooting from the field, mainly on uncontested transition layups.

Miami pushed the lead up to as many as 19 points before Sinclair found any kind of continuity.  Mid way through the second half, Sinclair started their run that would bring them all the way back to a 2 point ball game with about 4 minutes left in the game.

Pulling to within one possession and exerting so much energy in that 8 minute run, the Pride was never able to get over the hump and take the lead.  Making key free throws in the last minutes of the game, Miami-Middletown sealed the game with one last defensive and a few made free throws.

Leading the way for the Pride with another double-double, Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) posted a game high 27 points and 12 rebounds.

Sinclair will travel to Pikeville College (KY) on Saturday for a Noon tip.
