Dayton, OH - Jeff Price (Men's Basketball Coach) announced today that Sinclair Community College has signed Gavin Schumann (6-1/Cincinnati Roger Bacon H.S.) to a National Letter of Intent.

Gavin helped lead Roger Bacon to a Quarterfinal appearance against Thurgood Marshall in the 2010-11 Division II Boy's Basketball Tournament. Roger Bacon finished the season with a 20-6 overall record and a perfect 10-0 in the always tough GCL-Central Division (Greater Catholic League).

His Junior year, Gavin finished 8th at the Ohio State H.S. Division II Track & Field Championships in High Jump which earned him All-State honors. Roger Bacon had an outstanding year in the GCL with several individuals honors being handed out; Coach of the Year, Athlete of the Year and 4 players being named to 1st Team All-GCL which included Gavin Schumann.

Gavin becomes the second guard to sign from the Queen City as he joins Cameron Lee from Lakota East in the Pride backcourt. Sinclair Men's Basketball team is coming off four consecutive 20 win seasons as well as being ranked simultaneously in the top 20 of the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) polls.
