Men’s Basketball 2010-11 Schedule Announced

Sinclair announces the 2010-11 Men’s Basketball Schedule

Dayton, OH - Sinclair Community College has announced its complete men’s basketball schedule.

Going right into the fire, the Pride will open the home schedule against a new opponent this year. Making their first trip to Dayton, NJCAA Division I power Clinton Junior College (Rock Hill, South Carolina) will tip off the 16 game home schedule on Saturday November 6th.

An early season match up (November 13th) against Region XII powerhouse Mott CC sits just three games into this year’s schedule. The Bears finished the 2009-10 season 24-6 and ranked 3rd in the final NJCAA Poll. The annual matchup brings to the Dayton campus a Mott team loaded with talent and that has played in 5 of the last 10 National Championship games.

Another highlight of the non-conference schedule will come early in December as Sinclair travels to Philadelphia to take on the University of Pennsylvania JV Quakers in the Palestra on December 8th. Last year the Pride won 79-58 to even the series at 1-1.

The OCCAC schedule will once again be full of NJCAA Nationally Ranked teams. During the past three years, the OCCAC has had two teams play for the Division II National Championship: Columbus State CC (2008) & Cincinnati State CC (2010). Cincinnati State CC is the current reigning conference (OCCAC) champion and should be ranked in the top 10 when the rankings come in November.
