Lady Pride Bounce Back Against Cuyahoga

Dayton, OH –  Sinclair Women’s Tartan Pride basketball team coming off a tough loss to southern rival Cincinnati State, hosted Cuyahoga College this afternoon at Sinclair’s Physical Activities Center.

Women take CuyahogaThe score was 23 all going into halftime with the Lady Pride shooting just 31percent from the field. 

In the second half The Pride turned up the defensive pressure to force a total of 18 turnovers for the game while shooting 47percent from the field and finally outlasting Cuyahoga, 61-56.

Balanced scoring for Sinclair was the key as Sophomores Shannon Campbell (Miamisburg) and Haleigh Hickenbottom led the way with 13 and 11 points respectively.  Campbell also led the way with a team high 9 rebounds.

Sinclair improves to 14-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play and third in the OCCAC standings. The Lady Pride will return to home action on Saturday, February 5 as they take on Owens in Sinclair’s Homecoming Game.

Game time is 2:00 PM in Sinclair's Physical Activities Center located in Building 8 on the downtown campus.
