Professor to Perform with Sinclair Community College Jazz Ensemble

Dayton, OH- Sinclair Professor of Music and Jazz Bruce Jordan will perform with the Sinclair Community College Jazz Ensemble in concert Friday, January 30.

Bruce Jordan will also lead the 16-piece big band in an 8 p.m. performance in Blair Hall Theatre, Building 2, on the Sinclair campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature 10 songs, including Act Your Age by Gordon Goodwin, Lady Bird by Tadd Dameron, and The Blues Walk by Clifford Brown.

Bruce Jordan is a recipient of the Performer's Certificate in saxophone by the Indiana University School of Music faculty. He has previously performed at the Meistersingerhalle in Nurnberg, Germany with faculty artists at the Fachakademie fur Musik, Nurnberg, and can be heard on Sinclair's second compact disc, recorded in April 2002, on MARK records (4324-MCD).
