When a group of young girls begins to accuse people in a small town of witchcraft, a terrifying series of events begins to unfold, ultimately leaving the town in fear and the man at the center of it all questioning his faith and morality.

When does a crusade in the name of the common good become a mass crime against love, faith and family?

Arthur Miller's The Crucible offers a look at the effects of societal paranoia on even the most common of citizens. Based on the true story of the Salem witch trials and written during the height of the American Red Scare of the 1950s, The Crucible offers a terrifying glimpse of tragedy caused by hysteria.
