Baseball Wins Against #2 LSU-Eunice

Dayton, OH – Sinclair (14-5) Baseball wins 7-4 against the Defending NJCAA Division II National Champion and number 2 ranked LSU-Eunice (24-5) in the final game of a 4 game series.

The Pride did a great job of finding their game legs after being on a bus for 17 hours.  Up 1 going into the bottom of the 4th, the Pride allowed a 4 spot and then allowed another 2 in the bottom of the 8th to enter the 9th down by 5.  Sinclair did battle back scoring 4 runs in the top of the ninth only to fall 1 run short 6-7.

The middle two games of the series saw LSU-E dominate the Pride as Sinclair dropped both games (9-3) (5-0) respectively.

The final game of the series, Sinclair jumped out to an early lead scoring 2 runs in the first and another in third to open up a 3-1 margin after 3 innings.  After giving back a run in the 5th, the Pride exploded for 3 in the top of the 7th and added a single run in the 8th to secure a 7-4 victory.

This Wednesday the Pride will travel over to Indiana for a double header with Vincennes CC.
Saturday April 2, the Pride will open up OCCAC play as they travel to Cuyahoga CC for a league opening double header.  The two teams will then return to Dayton for a Sunday afternoon double header at Sinclair starting at 1pm.

All home games are played at Grady’s Field at Athletes in Action's in Xenia.
