Governor John Kasich to Serve as Sinclair’s Commencement Speaker

DAYTON, OH – Ohio Governor John Kasich will serve as the keynote speaker for Sinclair's commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the University of Dayton Arena. The event is a celebration for the students and their families and a reflection of the hard work of the students, faculty, and staff of Sinclair. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and graduates and families are encouraged to both attend and to arrive early.

"We are honored to have Governor John Kasich as our keynote speaker for our commencement ceremony," Sinclair President Steve Johnson said. "Governor Kasich has encouraged Ohio's institutions of higher education to work more closely together and to operate more efficiently. This ceremony will provide the Governor with the opportunity to speak to our graduates as they take the next step in their lives and careers. This ceremony is the highlight of our year and I look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students, faculty, and staff with Governor Kasich."

It is expected that this year approximately 800 students will be taking part in the graduation ceremony and that 3500 students will earn credentials from Sinclair during this academic year.
