Occupational Therapy Assistant Club

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy is a health care service which uses a variety of skills and techniques –including crafts, activities exercises, or adaptive equipment to help people learn the skills they need to live as independently as possible.

Within the last ten years we have organized a club for those students in the OTA program. This club was formed on the basis of friendship and hopes of giving all persons in the program a sense of unity.

OTAC meets once a month in the OTA lab in building 1, Room 1030. There is a five dollar membership fee each quarter. These fees are used towards scholarships and other activities to benefit the OTA students. During the meetings we discuss fund-raisers, recreation activities, along with other topics of interest.

OTAC would like to extend a welcome to the class of 2001 and would like to invite you to a club meeting. The date and time of the meetings are always posted in the OTA lab. Please feel free to attend OTAC and share your ideas.
