Admissions Requirements

The applicant must be in the eighth grade to begin the Young Scholars Program and be willing to make a commitment for five years.  A student in seventh grade can apply in the spring to begin the fall term. 
  
A student must have a grade point average of 2.0.  An applicant with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 to 3.0 will be given highest priority.  
  
The parent/guardian(s) cannot be a college graduate. 
  
The student must be a Montgomery County resident and attending school in the county.
