What is the program about?

The Retail Business short-term certificate gives students more of the basic tools needed to be a successful supervisor or manager in any business or industry, including retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and service industries. This certificate enables students to further build and develop their skills toolbox that will enable them to be successful in the workplace.

Program Outcomes

  • Create and present a marketing plan for a product or service.
  • Explain the roles, responsibilities, and accountability of managers in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling within an organization.
  • Interpret and analyze financial information to make business decisions.
  • Discuss legal and financial implications and human factors in making personnel decisions.

Credentials

This short-term certificate is the second of three certificates that students will earn as part of the Retail Management Certificate program, which includes an industry recognized certificate from the Western Association of Food Chains.

Additional Information

Sinclair has the option for you to grow your retail management education further with the Retail Management Certificate, which is an additional 3 credit hours.
