Our mission is to engage students in collaborative sessions that cultivate effective writing skills and develop stronger writers.
You lead the consultation. Be an active participant and take ownership of your work. Ask questions and take notes during your tutoring session.
Tutors do not edit. They help you identify errors and understand corrections so that you may edit your own paper.
Each session is 20 minutes. Create a draft of your paper before meeting with a tutor so that your session is focused on improving your writing skills. You may meet again as needed.
Additional writing support is available. eTutoring and individual tutoring sessions are also offered. Saturday hours from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. are now available for students seeking weekend help.
You are invited to use the lab’s computers at any time to work on your writing assignments. Printers are also available for your use in the lab.
