Scholarship for Students in a Construction-Related Field: The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is offering undergraduate scholarships to a full-time student pursuing a degree in a construction-related field. View eligibility requirements and apply at www.nawic.org. After you visit NAWIC's website, click on "Education", then "Scholarships," then "NFSF." All applications must be submitted online to the NAWIC website by February 28th, 2016.

Soroptimist International Live Your Dream Award: The Live Your Dream Award was established to assist women with primary financial responsibility for their families to obtain the skills-training and education to improve their standard of living for themselves and their family.  One $1,500 award will be made for an eligible woman from the Greater Dayton area.  Applications are due November 15, 2015 and MUST be emailed to ses2975@aol.com or mailed to 2965 King James Drive, Beavercreek, OH. 45432.  Click here for application.  Two reference forms must be submitted with application, and students can find a copy here.

Ohio ETV Funding: The Ohio Education and Training Voucher Program is a federally-funded, state-administered program designed to help youth who were in foster care. Students may receive up to $5000 a year for qualified school-related expenses.  Click here for application and more information.

Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty: Students with ties to West Chester or Liberty, Ohio may be eligible for scholarships whose applications open December 1, 2015 for the upcoming 2016-17 school year.  For scholarship information, click here.

Foundation for Appalachian Ohio: Students with ties to one of the 32 counties of Appalachian Ohio may be eligible for scholarships for the upcoming 2016-17 school year.  For a list of opportunities, click here

Elizabeth Yox Scholarship: The Dayton Right to Life offers an annual $1,000 scholarship to a young woman residing in the Miami Valley area who has experienced an untimely pregnancy and has chosen life for her child. The scholarship money will be paid directly to the college of the applicant's choice in two installments, to be used for books, tuition and miscellaneous fees. Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program:  The Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program is part of the state's strategic effort to significantly strengthen Ohio's position in world markets such as aerospace, medicine, computer technology and alternative energy.  Selected colleges and universities are awarded funding to offer scholarships to students enrolled in STEMM fields.  Sinclair Community College offers over 125 programs of study covered by the scholarship in the STEMM fields.  The scholarship funds are intended to defray tuition, books, and fees.  The Choose Ohio First Scholarship application is CLOSED.  Please check back in December for updates on Spring 2016 semester availability.

Honda Excellence in Manufacturing Scholarship:  The SME Education Foundation will be offering scholarships to students currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program in manufacturing engineering/manufacturing technology or a closely related engineering discipline.  Scholarship applications will open November 1st, and you can sign up for updates and/or read about the scholarships at www.smeef.org/scholarships/ .  NOTE:  The scholarships are for students with a minimum 2.5 GPA and require two letters of recommendation from a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) instructor.

Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF):  Explore here to view a list of scholarship resources from all over the United States.  Although the website is sponsored by a Latino organization, scholarships are not limited to Latino students.  Each scholarship application is to be submitted to the organization sponsoring the award (not to Sinclair's Financial Aid & Scholarships Office).  To view listings, visit:  https://www.maldef.org/leadership/scholarships/.

Latino College Dollars:  A scholarship search engine sponsored by the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.  Although the search engine is sponsored by a Latino organization, scholarships are not limited to Latino students.  To view, visit:  http://latinocollegedollars.org.

AmericanMuscle Automotive Scholarship:  Each semester, AmericanMuscle awards 2 scholarships of $2,000 each to students pursuing an education in Automotive Technology or a related field.  Essays for Spring semester applicants are due by October 15th, and essays for Fall semester applicants are due by July 15th.  Students can learn more and apply at www.americanmuscle.com/scholarships.html
