Special Testing Arrangements
Disabilities Services provides special testing arrangements for qualifying students with disabilities.
Eligible students may take exams and quizzes in the Testing Center located in Building 10, Room Room 10445 or Tutorial Services in Buiding 7, Room 7L07.
How do I make arrangements for special testing?
You need to provide your instructor with a Department of Disability Services SELF-ID form requesting testing accommodations. If planning to take exams/quizzes in the Testing Center (Room 10445), you must sign up in advance (preferably one week) and earlier for midterms and during final exam week. If you plan to use Tutorial Services (room 7L07), you must schedule an appointment with Tutorial Services at least one week in advance.
Why should I make arrangements to use the Testing Center?
- I need extended time on an exam and no other assistance.
- I require no assistance but need a less distracting environment than my classroom.
Why should I make arrangements to use Tutorial Services?
- I need extended time on an exam, quiz or paper, and I need the assistance of a proctor (person) to serve as a reader and/or writer during that activity.
Note: Any student who uses services such as reader/writer, interpreter, PED assistant or tutor will not be assigned his/her regularly assigned assistant to proctor quizzes and/or exams.
