About the Lab
Mission and Principles
The Innovation Lab focuses on research, implementation, and sustainability centered around emergent technology practices to advance Sinclair as a leader in technology-empowered education.
Partners propose projects that present an educational need or idea. Innovation Lab staff, faculty on release time, and these partners then explore accepted projects through research and their alignment to Sinclair's core strategies. Partners and staff then build the innovative project to implement, adapt, accelerate, and assess it for Sinclair faculty, students, and other shareholders. Finally, the Lab supports the scale of the innovation to a large audience.
We help you do things not necessarily done before through research and development, internal consultancy, acceleration, and 'shooting for the moon.'
Innovation Lab projects are also submitted for conference presentations, awards, department and program reviews, and accreditation requirements.

Oversight Committee
The Innovation Lab's day-to-day operations are run by the Innovation Lab Manager. Oversight, vision, and shared governance are done by a diverse committee. Its membership includes faculty, staff, and partners who use collective expertise, community and professional connections, and available resources to ensure the lab and its projects are feasible and set up for success.
