Men's Hoops Drop Southern State 108-77

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Men’s Tartan Pride basketball team welcomed in the New Year with cross town rival Southern State College from Hillsboro, Ohio. Coming off an impressive win over OU – Chillicothe, The Pride picked up where they left off, shooting 64 percent in the first half to build a 60-21 lead.

The second half was much the same as Sinclair dominated Southern State and would go on to post a 108-77 win. With the win, The Tartan Pride are riding a four game win streak and winners in 7 of their last 8 contests.

Sinclair had another balanced attack as the Pride had five double figure scorers. Freshman Mark Allen (6-4/Cincinnati Northwest H.S.) lead the way for the Pride with 21 points and 5 rebounds.  Rounding out double figure scoring for the Pride, Blake Davenport (6-1/Lebanon H.S.) and Darrien Wilkins (6-5/Cincinnati Princeton H.S.) adding 14 points each and Colton Everett (6-5/Ottawa-Glandorf H.S.) with 12 points and Austen Alabata (6-8/Toledo Scott H.S.) finished with 11 points.  

The Pride will finish their non-conference schedule with a home game against West Virginia Northern on Wednesday the 5th at 7:00pm.  All home games are played on the Downtown Dayton campus in Building 8.
