The Pride took three out of four again this weekend in OCCAC play but failed to put together a sweep over Cuyahoga. With the wins, Sinclair moves to 6-2 in the OCCAC and has the early lead in the conference.
The Sinclair offense struggled in the first game of the series, but Jon Thacker put the team on his back by tossing a complete game shutout. The only run of the game was scored off the bat of Joe Ford, who had three hits on the day. Ford hit a frozen rope to the shortstop, who was unable to make the play, scoring Nick McGill in the fifth.

Six extra-base hits on a dozen hits propelled the Pride to a big win in the second game. Cuyahoga matched Sinclair early on but was held in check once reliever Brock Trimbur entered the game. Sinclair did not lose one inning the entire game and cruised to victory.

Two pitches into the third game, Cuyahoga had a 1-0 lead. Starter Stephen Holland hit the first batter of the game and then threw a sacrifice bunt into the outfield that plated the first run of the game. Tri-C added another to extend the lead to 2-0. Offensively, Sinclair had a lot of chances early but didn't cash in until Darwin Argumedo singled in two in the fourth. Argumedo was en fuego all weekend and had three multi-hit games. Sinclair took a 4-2 lead into the six inning when Cuyahoga chased starter Stephen Holland out of the game. Matt Kruzel came into the game with bases loaded and one out, and he walked the first batter he faced, tying the game at four. Then Kruzel got an infield pop-up and a ground ball out to end the threat. In the bottom of the seventh, Matt Sullivan laced a single up the middle and moved to second on the sacrifice bunt from Kyle Vander Ark. The hot hitting Argumedo hit a ground ball to third, and the throw sailed over the first baseman, scoring Sullivan for the win.

Sloppy play and missed opportunities were the story of the final game. Pride starter Corey Johnson gave another strong performance on the mound, only allowing one earned run in six innings pitched. With the game tied at three, Sinclair had the winning run in scoring position in the sixth, eighth and ninth innings, but couldn't get it done. Tri-C eventually broke the tie in the tenth with a two-out single to right that scored two.
