Outcomes

  • Understand and use the principals of pulse, tempo, subdivision, and key.
  • Understand and use correct solfeggio syllables and corresponding hand signals of the diatonic major scale during melodic sight-singing.
  • Sight-sing and tap rhythms in 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 and 6/8 meters.
  • Sight-sing a melodic line with correct pitches, rhythms, solminization, and hand signals while hearing a different line or accompaniment.
