Join us for an in-person screening of this 2020 documentary directed by Kamilah Forbes.

Based on the nonfiction book written by American author Ta-Nehisi Coates, as a letter to her teenage son about the feelings, symbolism, and realities associated with being Black in the United States.

The documentary includes powerful readings from the author’s book and also incorporates documentary footage from her home life, archival footage, and animation.

A facilitated discussion will be held after the film.
