Pulitzer Prize-winning professor Dr. Eric Foner of Columbia University will speak on the topic How the Civil War and Reconstruction Changed the Constitution

In addition there will be history quizzes, refreshments and door prizes.

Dr. Foner is an award-winning professor at Columbia University. Some of his books include Reconstruction: America’s Unfinished Revolution, 1863–1877 (won the Bancroft, Parkman, and Los Angeles Times Book Prizes), The Fiery Trial: Abraham Lincoln and American Slavery (won Pulitzer, Bancroft, and Lincoln Prizes), and Gateway to Freedom: The Hidden History of the Underground Railroad (won the American History Book Prize).
