Sinclair College Employees Contribute Over $80,000 for Scholarships and Support Programs

Sinclair College employees contributed more than $80,000 to the Sinclair Foundation’s annual giving campaign during the months of October and November. This year’s theme is “Building Brighter Futures…Stronger Together.”  Over 500 Sinclair employees participated.

For 2020, the Sinclair Foundation established two new funds to address critical needs during the pandemic.  The Food Insecurity and Student Stability Fund helps meet acute student needs resulting from the pandemic and its economic effect on students and families.  The Sinclair Equity Center Fund supports initiatives that help foster an inclusive environment at Sinclair College as well as to achieve equity for Sinclair students and the community.

“Not only have Sinclair’s faculty and staff gone above and beyond to tackle the significant challenges presented by the pandemic in terms of providing quality, affordable education and services to our students, they have, once again, given from their hearts to ensure additional needs are met,” said Dr. Steve Johnson, President – Sinclair Community College.  “I could not be more proud of these continuing efforts to support our students, their families, and the community.”

The Sinclair Foundation's mission is to keep higher education accessible through student scholarships and to help Sinclair remain among the nation's leading community colleges.  To learn more about scholarships and programs through the Sinclair Foundation, call 937-512-2510 or visit the website at https://www.sinclair.edu/giving/.
