Sinclair Community College is pleased to welcome Crystal Allen as its newest member to its Board of Trustees. The Board of County Commissioners of Montgomery County recently appointed Ms. Allen, President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton, to serve on the Sinclair Community College (Warren and Montgomery County Community College District) effective July 1, 2025, for a term ending June 30, 2030.
“We are thrilled to welcome Crystal Allen to our Board of Trustees,” said Dr. Steve Johnson, President & CEO at Sinclair Community College. “Crystal’s leadership, vision, and dedication to our mission will be instrumental in shaping the future of Sinclair.”
With more than twenty (20) years in youth development, Crystal Allen has served as the President & CEO at the Boys & Girls Club of Dayton for the past three (3) years. Prior to this, Ms. Allen was with the Boys & Girls Club of Cincinnati for more than ten (10) years, serving as their Vice President of Human Resources before becoming their Vice President of Operations.
“Ms. Allen’s accomplished, professional background brings outstanding business, education, and leadership expertise, strengthening our Board’s role in guiding Sinclair’s future,” said Bruce Feldman, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “Together, our Board of Trustees will continue to strengthen our community, enhance academic excellence, and help to create an environment that fosters opportunity and growth for our students and staff.”
Ms. Allen fills the Board seat vacated by Helen Jones-Kelley, who retired from Sinclair’s Board of Trustees at their June meeting, after having served more than a decade, including terms as Chair of the Personnel and Curriculum Committee, as well as the Finance and Investment Committee.
“I am honored to join the board and contribute to an institution that plays such a critical role in shaping the future of our region’s workforce,” said Crystal Allen. “As someone deeply committed to youth development, I’m excited to support pathways that empower students to thrive academically, professionally, and personally.”
