Sinclair Volleyball Digs Out Win against Columbus State CC

The Sinclair (13-5/5-1) Volleyball team earned another win at home against visiting Columbus State CC (5-7/3-3) Cougars on September 28.

The Pride takes lead throughout most of the match. They struggled in the second game but managed to pull through.

 Strong defensive play was in full force. The Pride was able to form aggressive plays which made for a good combination of digs and kills. There were some close calls but nothing that The Pride couldn’t handle.

Outstanding performances from Meg Reineke (5-10/SO – New Knoxville H.S.) with 35 digs and 19 kills followed by Caroline Smith (5-3/FR – Tecumseh H.S.) with another high of 53 assists. Sarah Bettinger (5-9/FR – Anna H.S.) pulled 21 digs and 20 kills. Lauren Roetgerman (9-10/SO – Minsters H.S.) added 8 kills which followed by a strong contribution from Morgan Leeson (5-6/SO – Mechanicsburg H.S.) with 16 digs. Abigail Bertke (5-9/SO – Dixie H.S.) put in 6 kills which also helped The Pride to earn the win.

The Sinclair Baseball Team was a big part of the crowd in tonight’s game. They cheered on The Pride until the very last play of the match.

 The Pride will head to Cedarville on Friday, September 30 to face the Yellow Jackets from Cedarville University-JV.
