Experience some of the world’s greatest works of art, architecture, and cuisine during Spring Break. The focus of this study abroad program is Italy – past, present, and future. Tour archeological sites and learn about life in a modern European country with millennial roots. Participate in an 800-year old celebration in a rural Italian village.

Description of trip: Learn about the sociopolitical issues surrounding migration to the U.S. through its southern border, while meeting with migrants, allied health workers, legal professionals, and others with insight on this relevant and timely issue. Students will spend the majority of their time in the U.S. (Tucson and surrounding area),but will cross the border one afternoon and visit the town of Nogales, Mexico.

Description of trip: Explore contemporary built environment issues of design, construction, and sustainability as they create international design projects for both Dayton, Ohio and Næstved, Denmark. Teams will communicate via the web using virtual reality design tools, as well as video
conferencing. The final design presentations will be made during a two-week visit to Denmark, during which students will explore various Danish building sites and cultural institutions. The course fulfills architectural technology, construction management technology, and civil engineering technology requirements/electives.

Description of trip: Experience the beauty of Ireland while learning about its history and culture. The country’s lush, green hills and majestic coastlines belie an often times turbulent past. Learn about the harsh penal laws imposed on Irish Roman Catholics, the potato famine of the 1840s, the formation of the Republic of Ireland, and the ‘troubles’ in Northern Ireland.
