The film tells the story of Recy Taylor, a 24 year old African American sharecropper who was abducted and raped by six white men when walking home from church in Abbeville, Alabama in 1944.
Following the showing, there will be by a panel discussion featuring local experts from law enforcement, criminal justice studies, and YW's sexual assault program on the film’s themes of race and gender-based violence.
