Dr. Ping Yang grew up in the Northeastern part of China and worked as a design engineer in China after graduating from college. Her dream of an advanced degree brought her to Kansas State University for a master’s degree and then to the University of Illinois, where she earned her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering. She also holds an MBA from the University of Dayton. Dr. Yang currently works as a principal research scientist at Cargill.

Ping is passionate about staying healthy and sharing her knowledge about health. Ancient energy exercises like Qigong and TaiChi practice are part of her personal well-being program. She has taught Qigong and TaiChi at the University of Dayton Lifelong Learning Institute since 2016. She has hosted online free practice since 2020 after COVID hit. Her dream is to combine ancient health knowledge and practices with modern-day technology to benefit more people.
