This presentation is an introduction to the use of therapy dogs for the support of our community. Currently therapy dogs are used to support Fire, EMS, Police personnel and medical facility staff. Therapy dogs are beginning to be utilized for students in educational facilities as well. We’ll also discuss the different type of support dogs, including the difference between emotional support and therapy dogs.
Also, be sure to say “hello” to therapy dog, Charlee. She is a 1.5 year old chocolate lab who will be present during this event.
