American Institute of Architects Dayton Chapter Recognizes Student Work

ETD Architectural Technology student Shathra Alazzawi was honored by the Dayton chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for her contribution to the High School Student Design Competition (SDC).

Students in Charlie Setterfield's CAT 2201 Design class created Revit models of the Gentile Produce Building on Patterson Boulevard.  AIA Dayton chose the best model from the class and is using it as the starting point for the SDC activity.

While the AIA conducts the SDC each year, this is the first time high school students have been asked to renovate an existing structure, and the first time Sinclair has been involved in the competition.

Shathra received a copy of Architectural Graphic Standards as a prize for her work.
