Joe Sciabica, President of Universal Technology Corporation (UTC), was appointed recently to the Sinclair College Board of Trustees. The Sinclair Board of Trustees are appointed to five-year terms and have the governance authority over the entire operations of the college.
Sciabica began his career with the Air Force in 1982 and has served for over 30 years in a variety of roles within the Air Force Laboratory System. As Executive Director of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) he worked with key international defense leaders from around the world and established over $40 million dollars in collaborative research agreements. In 2012, he was appointed as the Director of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), here, he provided responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services at more than 75 locations world-wide.

Joe Sciabica serves on several Board of Trustees in the region ranging from the Dayton Regional STEM School; Air Camp USA; Confluence Water Technology Innovation Cluster; National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON); Land-Grant Advisory Council, Central State University and Board Chair, of the Dayton-Wright Chapter Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
