Lifestyle Fitness Fair in Library Loggia

Exercise Science students will host a Wellness Initiatives and Lifestyle Fitness Fair Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. in the library loggia.

Topics to be presented include:

Incorporating Physical Activity in Daily Life

  • 10,000 steps and adding physical activity throughout your day
  • Body weight exercises

Motivation techniques

  • Wearable technology
  • Accountable tools and tracking methods

Stress Reduction

  • Dangers of stress and how to minimize


  • Sedentary lifestyle (sitting is the new smoking)
  • Importance of sleep

Try It (exercises to do at desk for 3 minutes)

  • Meditation and deep breathing
  • Stretches at desk
