Sinclair will open tournament play May 17 as the NJCAA Region XII Division II defending champion and the number one overall seed as the Pride looks for a return trip to the NJCAA College World Series.
The Pride will take on the number 8 seed and the sixth place team from the Michigan Conference, Kalamazoo Valley at 4:00 p.m. in Battle Creek, MI. The opening game will be played at Nichols Field at Bailey Park. This will be a double elimination tournament with the winner advancing to Enid, OK for a spot in the College World Series.
Sinclair is the top ranked team in this year’s field as they enter the tournament ranked #11. Joining Sinclair as the only two nationally ranked teams playing in the Region XII tournament, OCCAC foe Cuyahoga ranked 13th.
The winner of the opening round will advance to the Semi-Finals on Thursday, loser plays in the elimination bracket at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
