Sinclair College, TECH CORPS and AT&T to Host 2019 TECHCORPShack Event
What: Sinclair College, TECH CORPS and AT&T will host the 2019 Dayton Regional TECHCORPShack on Friday, November 16, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday, November 17, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. for high school students in grades 9 through 12. The event, sponsored by AT&T, will give high school students in Dayton the opportunity to learn about computer science in a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment. During the event, students will learn how to utilize the MIT App Inventor to explore the world of mobile app development to create an app that tackles a real-world need or problem. MIT App Inventor is a programming environment that teaches students how to program using visual building blocks. Students will also have the opportunity to meet and work with peers, technology professionals, and advocates from their community. Cash prizes will be awarded to winning teams in each region. Each member of the team that wins the finale will receive cash prizes.
When: Saturday, November 16, 2019; 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
