Sinclair College to Award Record Number of Degrees and Certificates to Highest-Ever Number of Graduates

Sinclair Community College will award a record number of degrees and certificates to an all-time high number of graduates during its 2021 commencement ceremonies on May 6, 2021.  Sinclair is celebrating multiple record-breaking accomplishments for the 2020-21 academic year:

Sinclair College Graduates:

• Record number of Students earning Degrees and Certificates:  6,300+

(24% over last year, 75% increase over the last 10 years)

• Record number of African American Males earning Degrees and Certificates:  700+

(55% over last year, 342% increase over the last 10 years)

Sinclair College Associate Degrees:

• Record number of Associate Degrees:  2,221 

(Up 2% over last year, 9% increase over the last 10 years)

• Record number of Associate Degrees to Women:  1,329

(Up 3% over last year, 15% increase over the last 10 years)

• Record number of Associate Degrees to African American Women:  184

(Up 1% over last year, 44% increase over the last 10 years)

Other Notable Accomplishments:

• Bachelor’s Degree Graduates:  4  

These are the first-ever Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree graduates from any community college in the State of Ohio.  

o Bachelor of Applied Science – Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS):  2 

o Bachelor of Applied Science – Aviation Technology/Professional Pilot:  2

• Record Number of High School Students earning Associate Degrees:  53

(Up 12% over last year)
