Sinclair Community College to Begin Fall Term with Significant Enrollment Growth and Exciting New Programs

Sinclair Community College will begin the 2024-2025 academic year on Monday, August 26, 2024, with an increase in enrollment over last fall and more than a dozen new degrees and certificates.

Overall enrollment for Fall 2024 is up 13% compared to this time last fall with more than 15,500 students enrolled for fall semester. Over the course of the academic year, Sinclair educates approximately 32,000 students. Other positive enrollment trends at Sinclair Community College include:

Enrollment among new students, those attending Sinclair for the first time, is up nearly 18% over Fall Term 2023.
The College is also seeing growth in the number of “former students,” those who were previously enrolled at Sinclair but stopped attending for at least two years. The number of returning students is up nearly 20% over last year.
Sinclair’s College Credit Plus (CCP) Program is seeing its highest numbers yet (up more than 20% for fall term) and is expected to serve over 10,000 students for the entire year.
Adult learners over the age of 25, who comprise a considerable share of Sinclair’s enrollment, are also trending up (8%).
Enrollment among racial and ethnic minority students is up over 19% compared to last fall.

Sinclair Community College is also introducing 15 new degrees and certificates for the 2024-2025 academic year including its fifth bachelor’s degree.
