Sinclair English Department to Host 42nd Annual Writers' Workshop

The English department at Sinclair Community College will hold its 42nd Annual Writers' Workshop on Monday, November 2 from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Sinclair Library located in Building 7 on the downtown Dayton campus.

The day-long event will be followed by an evening community book discussion of Wash by Margaret Wrinkle, the 2014 Dayton Literary Peace Prize Fiction Runner-Up.

The entire day of events is FREE and open to the public.

Featured speaker, Radwinn Van Wyk, a visiting poet and performer from South Africa, will speak at 10 a.m. followed by featured speaker Margaret Wrinkle at 11 a.m. 

Participants will have the opportunity to attend a conversation with poet Naki Akrobettoe and novelist Ed Davis at noon.  

Afternoon workshops led by Van Wyk, Wrinkle, Akrobettoe, and Davis will include topics on poetry, fiction, and performance.Books by all presenters will be for sale from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Library Loggia.
