Sinclair Named Top Workforce Development Program

Sinclair College's Workforce Development division has been named the top workforce development program for the fourth-straight year by the Dayton Business Journal.Sinclair finished the 2014 calendar year with 13,386 program participants, an increase of more than 1,500 from the previous year to earn the top ranking. In the four years that Sinclair has held the top spot in workforce development for the Dayton region, approximately 45,000 program participants have received some form of training through the division."We are extremely proud to again be ranked as the top program for workforce development for this region," said Deb Norris, Vice President for Sinclair Workforce Development. "In the past year, we have developed new training opportunities, learning engagements, and customized programs that are really resonating with the employers and workforce of the Dayton region, and those successes are benefitting both the college and the community."In addition to offering new custom engagements in process improvement, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and expanded training in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), Sinclair Workforce launched new resources for the region's advanced manufacturing workforce, opening new labs in Preble and Warren Counties and growing the SkillsTrac industrial maintenance training program.Offering consulting, custom programs, courses and certificate programs in leadership, professional development, emerging technologies, advanced manufacturing and more, Sinclair Workforce Development adapts to meet the growing needs of the region's employers in a rapidly changing market.
