Sinclair Sophomore is OCCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Sinclair Men's Basketball announces that Westley Parr has been named the OCCAC player of the week in men's basketball.

Parr averaged 25.5 points, eight rebounds and two steals per game for Sinclair Community College last week.

The 6-6 sophomore forward from Cleveland Benedictine High School led Sinclair to a pair of wins over Edison Community College and Lorain County Community College by shooting a combined 19-for-34 overall and 13-for-18 from the foul line. His 30 point game against Lorain County was a season-high.

In 22 games this year, Parr has scored in double figures in all but one game and is averaging 18.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He is shooting 53.6 percent from the field.

Last season he also earned OCCAC Honorable Mention as a freshman.

Sinclair (13-9 overall, 3-5 OCCAC) will host Nationally Ranked Cincinnati State Technical and Community College Wednesday at 7:30pm in the only arena in the nation named Building 8.
