Sinclair Student Wins National Literary Contest

Congratulations to Sinclair English student Jayne O'Zemko who recently won first prize for fiction in the National Literary Competition sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College.

Each year Sinclair faculty adjudicate approximately 80 works submitted by creative writing students for entry into the national contest.  Jayne's story, titled Unit H17, was selected and sent on to compete with other community college students from across the country.

Jayne has transferred to Wittenberg and plans to pursue an MFA in creative writing and possibly her doctorate.  Her winning entry will be published in an anthology to be distributed by the League in the near future.
