Sinclair Volleyball team Earns NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Dayton, OH – Sinclair Community College and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) is pleased to announce the volleyball team has earned NJCAA All-Academic team honors for 2014-15 for the fourth consecutive year.

Teams are required to compile at least a 3.0 grade-point average to be considered for the honor and this year Sinclair was one of 591 teams from across the NJCAA to earn a team 3.0 GPA or better. 

Since 1993, the NJCAA has recognized the team with the highest overall grade-point average for their sport and gender with the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year Award. Teams that qualify with an overall grade-point average of at least a 3.0 are receive honorable mention recognition. Nominations are submitted by each team's respective institution.

Sinclair Volleyball joins the Owens Volleyball and Softball teams as the only three OCCAC teams to earn NJCAA All-Academic Team honors with an overall GPA of 3.0 or better for 2014-15.

In addition to earning the distinction of being an NJCAA All-Academic Team, the Volleyball team had three sophomore student/athletes earning NJCAA All-Academic honors:

Rebecca Moyer (Valley View H.S.)            

Exemplary Academic Achievement Award (3.60-3.79 GPA)

Carly Butler (Little Miami H.S.)                

Superior Academic Achievement Award (3.80-3.99 GPA)

Tiffany Jordan (National Trail H.S.)
