Sinclair Women's Basketball Players Named All-Conference

Dayton, OH – The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and Sinclair Community College announce the student-athletes named to the Women’s Basketball All-Conference and All-District teams for 2015-16.

The Sinclair Women’s Basketball (14-13, 6-8) team enjoyed a successful season under first year Head Coach Victoria Jones.  She has infused the program with life and changed the culture and expectations, forming a foundation of continued growth for many years to come.

Three sophomore members of the Sinclair Women’s Basketball team were honored.

Sophomore Madison Schroeder (6-00/West Carroll H.S.) named 1st team to both All-Conference and All-District in her only season at Sinclair.  The NCAA Division II transfer paced Sinclair in all the following categories; leading scorer (16.0/game), leading rebounder (8.4/game), assist (2.7/game), block shots (1.6/game), steals (1.9/game) and field goal % (47.9).  Madison was also named OCCAC Player of the Week Jan. 17th, the Buckeye Charters Athlete of Distinction for December and to the Sinclair Dean’s List for the Fall Semester.

Alona Skipper (5-10/Fairmont H.S.) received 2nd team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-District.  Alona started all 27 games this year as was the second leading scorer at 11.7 points per game. 

Sara Thornton (5-07/Kenton Ridge H.S.) earned Honorable Mention both All-Conference and All-District during her final season.  Sara started all 27 games this season and was tied with Madison Schroeder with 2.7 assist per game.  She also earned a spot on Sinclair Dean’s List this past Fall.
