On December 4, President Steven L. Johnson traveled to Washington, D.C. at the invitation of the White House to represent Dayton at the College Opportunity Day of Action. Also representing Dayton were WSU President Dr. David Hopkins, Dayton Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lori Ward and Dr. Tom Lasley. At the summit, President Obama, Vice President Biden, and First Lady Michelle Obama announced several new actions to help more students prepare for and graduate from college.
