What is the program about?

The automotive service consultant short term certificate prepares for the C1 ASE Automobile Service Consultant Certificate test and the role as a service consultant/advisor in automotive repair facility.

Program Outcomes

  • Student will demonstrate how to prepare a parts and labor estimate, repair order and invoice
  • Student will demonstrate how to interpret a vehicle inspection form completed at an automotive repair facility
  • Student will demonstrate how to effectively communicate with a customer and coworker as it relates to an automotive repair facility

Career Opportunities

Students can obtain gainful employment as service consultants/advisors at automotive repair facilities. Students are encouraged to take their C1 ASE exam Automobile Service Consultant Certification test to help secure employment.

Program Accreditation Information

The Sinclair Automotive Technology program is an ASE Accredited Training Program at the Master Automobile Service Technology level by the ASE Education Foundation. The ASE Education Foundation was founded as an independent, nonprofit organization with a single mission: To evaluate technician training programs against standards developed by the automotive industry. The ASE Education Foundation accreditation process has resulted in certified automotive training programs in all 50 states at the secondary and post-secondary level.
