What is the program about?

This short term certificate provides the fundamental skills needed to prepare the IT professional for careers in data analytics. Students will have the ability to mine, organize, analyze, and visualize data in a way that is meaningful to organizations. All courses in this short-term certificate apply to the Data Analytics degree.

Program Outcomes

  • Design and construct databases. Access, manipulate, and visual data using SQL and a scripting language. Use data analytic tools to solve business and information technology problems.
  • Create, document and implement computer software solutions given a definition of a problem and requirements for a solution.
  • Describe the need for an Information Systems methodology and the phases of the Systems Design; assess, develop and implement data analytic solutions.

Career Opportunities

Opportunities include positions such as Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Manager, Visualization Analyst and Business Systems Analyst.
