What is the program about?

The short term certificate in Mammography is designed to provide radiographers certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with didactic and clinical education in Mammography. Didactic courses focus on current Mammography principles while clinical courses provide students with real-life experience and development of hands-on skills needed to pursue employment opportunities Mammography.

Credentials

Graduates of this short-term certificate program are eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists' (ARRT) examination. Successful completion of the ARRT certification exam is a requirement for employment in Mammography in most institutions. Applicants for the ARRT are required to comply with state and federal laws. A pre-application may be made to ARRT in order to obtain a ruling regarding eligibility for the examination. Licensure is also required in Ohio for those working in Mammography.
