What is the program about?

This certificate prepares students to take the NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level 2 certification for Highway Construction Inspection. Requires successful completion of Transportation Construction Inspection Level 1 short term certificate (TCIL1.S.STC) prior to enrolling.

Program Outcomes

  • Inspect construction materials and activities for compliance with specifications.
  • Successful completion of courses will prepare student to sit for and pass NICET Level 2 Certification.
  • Review and understand common specifications for transportation construction projects.

Career Opportunities

New internships will be available to students participating in this program due to the federal infrastructure bill. Occupations include Construction Inspector, Highway Inspector, and Inspector.
