What will I do in a COIL course?
Through COIL, using various online tools, you will do the following:
Meet and interact with students from another country
Share information about yourself
Learn about life in the partner country from a student’s perspective
Add an international experience to you resume
Work on a collaborative project and do things in an international peer group such as:
Gain intercultural awareness and understanding
Improve digital literacy skills
COIL at Sinclair Community College
Sinclair’s first COIL project was offered in Fall Semester, 2019 with our partner in Japan, Yamaguchi Prefecture University. Since that time, over 400 Sinclair students have participated in COIL courses, along with peer students in 10 countries. Sinclair students have completed COIL modules in the following disciplines:
