Scholarship Opportunities*

The following scholarship opportunities are available to F1 visa students to help reduce the cost of study at Sinclair College:

  • New International Student Scholarship: newly admitted international students can apply for this merit-based scholarship. Recipients will be awarded $500 toward tuition for two semesters while enrolled at Sinclair. Applications are open for fall, spring, and summer semesters. Eligibility: New F-1 students who have not studied in the U.S. before. A GPA of 2.0 or higher is required to continuously receive the scholarship.
     
  • ESL Scholarship: F-1 students enrolled in the intensive ESL program will receive a $600 scholarship each semester until they have successfully completed the program. The scholarship is automatically awarded. Eligibility: A GPA of 2.0 or higher is required to continuously receive the scholarship. 

  • Sinclair Institutional Scholarships: Sinclair offers a variety of scholarship opportunities to qualified applicants. For specific information, please go to the Sinclair Scholarships and Application Information page. 

  • CCID International Student Scholarship: Sinclair College is a CCID member institution that accepts the International ESOL (iESOL) test for English language proficiency. Students who are admitted to Sinclair and took the iESOL exam are eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship.   • Other external scholarships: this website lists other financial resources for international students.

    *International students must show proof of financial ability to study and live in the United States without assistance from the U.S. government. International students are not eligible for federal financial aid but are eligible to apply for the scholarships listed above.
