What You Can Do While We’re Away

Sinclair is closed for Winter Break and will reopen Monday, December 30 at 8:00 a.m. Here is some helpful information on the steps you can take now to be prepared for Spring semester.

Make an Advising Appointment

You can schedule an appointment with an academic advisor for the week of December 30 by accessing the Academic Advising tile in your Sinclair portal (Log in to your Sinclair portal). All Sinclair campuses will be closed Wednesday, January 1. Starting Monday, January 3, Sinclair will offer on-demand advising.

Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Finalize Your Spring Class Schedule

Register for, review, or adjust your Spring class schedule by logging into the Sinclair portal and selecting the Registration Tile.

Registering for an online class for the first time? Follow the steps in the How to Succeed in eLearn tutorial to complete it before registering for an online course.

Pay Tuition

To pay online, log in to your my.sinclair.edu portal, select the Account Summary tile, and then choose "Make a Payment."
In-person payments can be made after the break.

Review Your Financial Aid

View your financial aid status by logging into your my.sinclair.edu and selecting the Student Finance Tile. If eligible, financial aid will be applied to balances on or after January 3, 2025.

If necessary, you can begin working on a Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeal through FA Online Forms at any time. Academic advisors will respond to requests for an Academic Plan Calculation form as quickly as possible.
Please watch your email for updates and additional requests that might come through. You can be registered for classes while going through the appeal process, but you should be aware of payment due dates and have a plan for other payment options should they be required.

Purchase Your Books for Spring

Order your books online by logging into your my.sinclair.edu and selecting the myBooklist tile.

If you are using financial aid to purchase your books, you’ll be able to order your books starting January 3, 2025.
