Potential Project Idea: A project centered on the global product expansion process. U.S. students will develop a launch plan for a U.S. product currently not sold in the COIL partner’s country and the COIL partner’s students for the U.S. market. Each group will serve as their country’s expert. Students will analyze the marketing environment, develop a SWOT analysis, develop a marketing research survey, and develop a 4 P/marketing mix strategy for the launch.
Motivation for COIL:Travelling to Taiwan in 2017 gave me a new perspective on the world. I experienced a culture that was as proud of their country as I am being from the United States. I want students to experience the world outside of Dayton, Ohio, and the United States. I want expose students to different cultures and business perspectives.
